October Adventures

Wellll hard to believe that it is already November and that the year is almost over! And 22.5 weeks pregnant? Whoa now. This pregnancy is going by SO MUCH faster than it did with Ethan...it's great! The baby is a little wiggle worm still...and his kicks get stronger and stronger every day. Before we know it, it will be baby time once again!

We had a great Halloween this year. Ethan was a scarecrow and wore an outfit that used to be Jason's when he was two. (How cool is that?) He was a BIG hit at the ward Halloween party! Can you see why?

Since our Halloween party was outside this year, it was pretty chilly (like in the 40's or so) and by the time it came to trunk or treat Ethan decided he wanted to sit in the car (with the heater) and help me pass out candy. We gave him a sucker and he was in baby heaven! When it was almost over, we convinced him to get down and go trunk or treat. Once he realized that everyone was handing him candy as he walked by he thought it was pretty fun after all.
I think he looks so grown up with his hair all spiked up! I think if we pull these pictures out when he is 16 we will see how similar he looks now and then.

We took Ethan trick or treating on Halloween and he did really well. If people had windows on the sides of their door Ethan would smash his face against them and watch them walk to the door. I’m sure most of them got a kick out of it! We went to about 20 houses around our street and by the time we were finishing up, Ethan was taking candy out of his pumpkin bucket and putting it in the person’s bowl. So maybe he didn’t quite grasp the complete concept of trick or treating..but he had fun and that’s what counts! When he got home we dumped it all out, and he spent the next several days sorting it out and playing with it. I think that was his favorite part of all!

Dunder liked Ethan's costume too!
Ethan in the “moving and sorting” stage. In other words he is in the stage where he pulls EVERYTHING out of a drawer, box, toy basket, etc and will spend an hour just moving it from one pile to another and back again. It actually is pretty funny to watch! Not to mention he is quite the artist when it comes to assembling some of his piles.
This is what I found the other day when I got out of the shower-- it is such a random pile of things from ALL over the house!

This is ART.

Another little fun thing about Ethan- About a month ago I bought Ethan a little magna doodle to play with. Every night I put it in his crib, and every morning when I go into get him, he has to make sure I see the picture he has drawn me that morning..it is so cute! He is a little artist! (notice the picture on the left)

And today in church Ethan wanted to go into the “middle” nursery instead of the “baby” nursery. (Our ward has three nurseries..it’s huge!) Well that’s not a big deal, because like I have said before, Ethan is happy in whatever nursery he is in. The part that was a big deal to me was that I checked in on him through the windows during snack time and I saw he was using a regular little paper cup to drink! That may not seem like a big accomplishment to most, but when he was first in there, there was no hope for him to actually get any of that water to drink—it just ended up all over his lap (like it did with all the other 18 month olds). And now he is a big boy and can drink from his cup all by himself. I was so proud! I have a feeling these next couple months are going to be filled with little BIG accomplishments. When the baby does arrive, Ethan will be well prepared to teach him how this whole life/world thing works!

As for myself and real estate, I’ve closed two houses in the past week and have another one set to close sometime this week. I've also got a new listing that should sell quickly which is always a great thing! I feel like I am finally getting the hang of things and know exactly what it takes to help someone buy and sell a house. I must admit, I feel like real estate is the PERFECT job for me right now because I am still able to be home with Ethan full time (which I LOVE). It is amazing just how much of my job can be done from home..it’s wonderful!

The first house I sold!

Jason and I celebrated our third anniversary on October 21st with a much anticipated dinner at Asiago’s (our favorite!). Jason also gave me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I have ever received! Hard to believe it has already been three years.
