So far so good...Denver!

Okay so I've put of updating for a loooong time because I thought I didnt have anything interesting to blog, or any new pictures. Well we have two camera memory cards we use, and last night I put the other one in that I haven't used in awhile..and guess what I found? A bunch of pictures from the last month or so! Whoops! So we will do a recap post..along with our adventures thus far in this lovely town of Denver, Colorado.

So back in February Ethan started wheezing really loudly. Like to the point I could hear him breathe from across the room. I almost didn't take him in to the Dr, but then I decided I would rather be safe than sorry. And I was sure glad I did. The dr said he was border line hospitalization and had me do breathing treatments on him every 4 hours. Luckily within a day or two he was MUCH better. As luck would have it, Jason was out of town that week so I got to do it all on my own. Ethan was such a trooper though! We just watched his show and he didn't fight me at all. Although he couldn't breathe well, he never acted sick (grumpy, congested etc) which was a relief. Below are the pics with his breathing mask on.

Ethan loves to sit like this..especially when he is with his daddy! How cute is this??
Watching TV with daddy.

Bath time! This was one of the last baths he had in the kitchen sink!

This was when we were in Burley. Ethan had so much fun tossing toys off the stairs into a bucket below. Look at that smile!!

Ethan loves going to visit Grandma and Grandpa!
This is how we take Ethan from place to place...haha

This was when we took my mom and sister out to dinner at PF Changs in Utah! So yummy! Ethan loves his Auntie Jamie and his Grandmama!
Awwww <3
Ethan loves to feed Daddy a bit of whatever he is eating. This was at Fuddruckers and he was feeding daddy some of his roll. He sure gets a kick out of it!
Our little lovey buggy after his bath!

Some easter pictures! We had a pretty casual Easter. We went to church, came home, gave Ethan his easter basket and had dinner. His easter basket was actually a pail and bucket for the park, and we filled it with some Puffs, and a bunch of eggs filled with the little pills you put in the bathtub and they turn into fun shapes!
He loved the blue plastic grass!
Maybe he thought they were candy eggs?

Watching his favorite show "Miss Spiders Sunny Patch Friends"

Okay that is all the old pictures..now for the new happenin's!

We got to Denver a week ago today! We actually left Boise Wed and spent the night in Salt Lake and then drove the 9+ hours to Denver on Thursday. Why did it take so long? It wasn't because we were hauling a Uhaul trailor..it was because of the 3 FEET OF SNOW FALLING FROM THE SKY! Seriously. It was snowing so hard by the time we got to Denver! It looked like it was snowing snowballs! So we got to unload in 1.5 feet of snow/slush. Well, Jason did..yuck!
Ethan was such a trooper! He didn't cry once..he just snacked, played and slept. We stopped once to get some lunch and he was all wet from an over flowing diaper...but had he fussed at all about it? Heck no! What a perfect little boy!

And as for Denver..so far so good! Our apt is really nice..the location is great and we seem to have everything we need. I'm having a great time so far because I've already found a couple of new friends (and one great old friend from college who lives right up the street!). So far this week I have already been to my new friend Kristi's house, an enrichment activity, a playdate at the park with about 10 moms, and tomorrow morning we have a music class! I am not going to lie... I'm having a great time so far! I seem to have more to do here than I do in Boise! And Ethan is LOVING it! He loves other kids/babies, so spending time with new people everyday...life couldn't get any better for him!

These busy days really tire a kid out! This is how I found him two nights ago. On top of all his toys with his legs sticking out the bars!

Have I mentioned my new hobby? It's couponing. I started a new blog that has step by step directions. http://cravingcoupons.blogspot.com
Hopefully I won't be such a slcaker when it comes to my next update!

I'm just going to take a moment to brag a little...

So I have begun to coupon. And I must say... it's quite fun! I went to a class about a month ago and have been collecting coupons every week since then. It is a bit slow to start which was hard..but on Wed I finally got my first big taste of couponing success! I was thrilled.

Albertson's was having a coupon doubling deal..so I was able to double 12 of my coupons..and this is what I came home with!

The cost of everything at regular price: $81.88
My grand total for everything.. $23.68!

6 boxes of Honey bunches of Oats: $.67 cents a piece (one box is missing from the pic..thanks to Ethan)
4 bags of dunder treats: $.69 cents a piece
2 packages Nestle cookie dough: $.75 cents a piece
1 bag Quacker Rice snacks: Free!
2 of Ethans Gerber Graduates meals: $.25 cents a piece
3 of Jason's body wash: $1.99 a peice
1 Herbal Essance hair spray: $1.00
1 Herbal Essance shampoo: $1.00
1 Johnson's buddies kid body wash: Free!
4 packets koolaid: $.25 cents a piece (on sale..but no coupons)
1 Munchkin bowl w/suction cup for Ethan: $3.24 (on clearance but no coupons)

Pretty good eh?

Now when I go to Walmart I feel like I am paying waaaay too much for everything! My goal is to not pay more for a dollar for most things..unless it is something we really have a preference for. The key to couponing is to stock up on everything so you don't run out before the next big sale.

I'm still learning how to coupon (thanks Stacy!)..but after every shopping trip I feel a little bit more experienced!
