October Adventures

Wellll hard to believe that it is already November and that the year is almost over! And 22.5 weeks pregnant? Whoa now. This pregnancy is going by SO MUCH faster than it did with Ethan...it's great! The baby is a little wiggle worm still...and his kicks get stronger and stronger every day. Before we know it, it will be baby time once again!

We had a great Halloween this year. Ethan was a scarecrow and wore an outfit that used to be Jason's when he was two. (How cool is that?) He was a BIG hit at the ward Halloween party! Can you see why?

Since our Halloween party was outside this year, it was pretty chilly (like in the 40's or so) and by the time it came to trunk or treat Ethan decided he wanted to sit in the car (with the heater) and help me pass out candy. We gave him a sucker and he was in baby heaven! When it was almost over, we convinced him to get down and go trunk or treat. Once he realized that everyone was handing him candy as he walked by he thought it was pretty fun after all.
I think he looks so grown up with his hair all spiked up! I think if we pull these pictures out when he is 16 we will see how similar he looks now and then.

We took Ethan trick or treating on Halloween and he did really well. If people had windows on the sides of their door Ethan would smash his face against them and watch them walk to the door. I’m sure most of them got a kick out of it! We went to about 20 houses around our street and by the time we were finishing up, Ethan was taking candy out of his pumpkin bucket and putting it in the person’s bowl. So maybe he didn’t quite grasp the complete concept of trick or treating..but he had fun and that’s what counts! When he got home we dumped it all out, and he spent the next several days sorting it out and playing with it. I think that was his favorite part of all!

Dunder liked Ethan's costume too!
Ethan in the “moving and sorting” stage. In other words he is in the stage where he pulls EVERYTHING out of a drawer, box, toy basket, etc and will spend an hour just moving it from one pile to another and back again. It actually is pretty funny to watch! Not to mention he is quite the artist when it comes to assembling some of his piles.
This is what I found the other day when I got out of the shower-- it is such a random pile of things from ALL over the house!

This is ART.

Another little fun thing about Ethan- About a month ago I bought Ethan a little magna doodle to play with. Every night I put it in his crib, and every morning when I go into get him, he has to make sure I see the picture he has drawn me that morning..it is so cute! He is a little artist! (notice the picture on the left)

And today in church Ethan wanted to go into the “middle” nursery instead of the “baby” nursery. (Our ward has three nurseries..it’s huge!) Well that’s not a big deal, because like I have said before, Ethan is happy in whatever nursery he is in. The part that was a big deal to me was that I checked in on him through the windows during snack time and I saw he was using a regular little paper cup to drink! That may not seem like a big accomplishment to most, but when he was first in there, there was no hope for him to actually get any of that water to drink—it just ended up all over his lap (like it did with all the other 18 month olds). And now he is a big boy and can drink from his cup all by himself. I was so proud! I have a feeling these next couple months are going to be filled with little BIG accomplishments. When the baby does arrive, Ethan will be well prepared to teach him how this whole life/world thing works!

As for myself and real estate, I’ve closed two houses in the past week and have another one set to close sometime this week. I've also got a new listing that should sell quickly which is always a great thing! I feel like I am finally getting the hang of things and know exactly what it takes to help someone buy and sell a house. I must admit, I feel like real estate is the PERFECT job for me right now because I am still able to be home with Ethan full time (which I LOVE). It is amazing just how much of my job can be done from home..it’s wonderful!

The first house I sold!

Jason and I celebrated our third anniversary on October 21st with a much anticipated dinner at Asiago’s (our favorite!). Jason also gave me the most beautiful bouquet of flowers I have ever received! Hard to believe it has already been three years.

It's a boy!!

So as you can tell by the title..we are expecting another baby boy! My due date was bumped up a few days to...March 10th! (That's Ethan's birthday!) I'm hoping I can hold this baby off to the 12th so they can each have their own special days, but we shall see! Although I wanted to go shopping for girl clothes..I must say, having another March boy will be perfect. He will fit all Ethan's clothes perfectly! The ultrasound went great..the baby is doing wonderful. We were a little surprised to see that this baby is measuring big (already 6 inches, 10oz), because Ethan always measured a little small. I'm just hoping this baby follows his brother's example and weighs around 7lbs when he decides to make his grand entrance. Carrying a 6lb 14oz baby was hard enough..I don't think I could handle a 8.5 pounder! (Let alone a 11 pounder like Jason was!)

And now some pics of our "baby brudder":
This is a profile shot in 3d. It's hard to see..but you can see the baby's complete profile facing left.
3d Profile facing right
Do you know how I know Ethan and this baby are destined to be best buddies? They did the exact same thing in the womb..hands up over their face!
2d profile shot-- cutest nose ever!

I love the feet pic...on the right you an even see the 5 toes! LOVE it!

And finally some pics of "Big brudder"

Playing in the Fall leaves!

Ethan wanted me to take pictures of him for some reason...by the end he was saying "Cheese!"

Who me?
Someone found some Halloween candy while mom and daddy weren't looking. He got it all over his NEW shirt and the carpet.... I know he doesn't get his love of chocolate from me..so maybe he got it from his Grandmama Brittner?

Love this little guy...and we both can't wait for "baby brudder" to come join the party!

The update I know you've been waiting for

Let's see. What's been going on in the Davidson household this past month?

*Jason started his new career at Morgan Stanley. He really likes it so far (much better than security systems! :) The worst part is having to wake up at the crack of dawn (actually before it) to go to work!
*Rebecca is currently a 15 weeks and 2 days prego. A little baby bump, but her regular pants still fit so that's nice. She had a Dr appt yesterday and heard the baby's heartbeat. Everything looks great, and she has been able to feel the baby wiggling for about a week now. Although it's still early she doesn't think this baby is nearly as active as little wiggle worm Ethan. (Maybe it's a girl???)
*Real estate is still keeping Rebecca busy. No sales yet, but her sellers both dropped the price of their homes, so hopefully in the next week! *fingers crossed!*
*Ethan has discovered showers..and he LOVES them. He thinks he is such a big boy when he takes them. He could spend hours in there if we let him, just playing with the bottles. The warm water hitting his face doesn't bother him at all!
*We gave Ethan a haircut about a month ago.. (Before and after pictures below). It was way overdue! It took us a good couple days to get used to it, but he looks like a handsome little boy now! My baby is sure getting big!
*Ethan is official in nursery now (Sweet Hallelujah). He LOVES playing in there...and surprise surprise, snack time is his favorite part. Although you have to watch that one..I caught him climbing over everyone to get to their napkins to steal their mini marshmallows. (Picture Ethan climbing over a little boy to get to a little girls napkin and grab five of her marshmallows, and put them all in his mouth one at a time. Then going back to his seat with giant chipmunk cheeks..yeah. It's pretty funny!)
*Important upcoming dates: October 16- we find out Boy or Girl!! Yayyy!
October 21- Our 3 year anniversary!

My 14 week baby bump.
Bubba and mama

Cheese!
