The Holidays!

Well Merry Belated Christmas! We had a lovely Christmas in California where we were able to spend time with my family. It was really fun to hang out with my lil sisters and parents. Ethan loved seeing his little Aunties again..and they sure love him! There was always someone there to entertain him. We drove down there and back..and we still have yet to have an uneventful trip to Cali. On the way there we got stuck for 2 hours on the freeway while they closed the roads and made everyone get off who didnt have chains. Sooo we had to go find the nearest gas station and put chains on. Luckily there were some helpful college students to give us some tips on how exactly to do it. Ethan and dunder were both very good during both the drive there and the drive back (yes, we took our cat...she would be lonely all by herself for a week!) I don't think Ethan cried once...what a trooper!

We were able to do all the fun things we normally do in Cali including shopping, going to Chuck E cheese, eating at In-N-Out, and going to a movie. I took Jason to Benihanas for his Bday dinner, even though his birthday isn't until Sunday. I really wanted him to try it and we don't have one in Boise. We went on Christmas eve and it was really fun/yummy. They even sang him Happy Birthday...hilarious!

Jason and I made an apple pie from scratch and it turned out really yummy. Jason even got creative and did a woven crust on top. It was very impressive.

Ethan got a new tooth on top and it's really beginning to show when he smiles..so cute!

He is officially crawling as of a couple weeks ago...although he's so big its more like an army crawl because he can't lift his chunky self up all the way!

We are going to be dropping Ethan off at my family's house for 2 weeks at the end of the month while Jason and I go on our Mediterranean cruise. Although I'm sure the trip will be amazing (like a second honeymoon for us) it is going to be soooo hard to leave him! I'm going to have to try my hardest not to worry so much I don't enjoy myself. I know he will be fine and have fun..but still! I guess I'm just a typical first time mommy!
Our attempt at a Christmas Family pic!
Our finished pie!
Pie! (Yes i cut my hair short!)
Ta da!
My little Reindeer! (He wouldn't even try and take them off when I would put them on him!)

Happy baby in Burley!

Okay so we went to Burley the week before Christmas to help Jason's mom make jam..and we made A LOT of raspberry jam..it turned out very yummy!

Birthday!

Whoa baby...1 1/2 posts in one day.. I'm on a roll! Well yesterday was my birthday! I'm 22 now! It was a fun day. We went shopping, out to dinner to Texas Roadhouse (yummy!) and to see Twilight! (Finally!) I really liked it..but I knew I would (both my mom and my sisters loved it!) I even think jason liked it (well the story line not so much the mushy mush stuff.)

Jason got me a Cricut Expressions paper cutter! I love it! I can't wait to do some serious scrapbooking. It's going to take my layouts to a whole new level haha.

Jason's parents and my parents also sent me very nice gifts :)

Oh and my little sisters (minus Jamie) called and sang me Happy Birthday! It's a tradition I love..and jenna made sure to throw in the "cha cha cha's"..so cute!
I can't wait until I get to Cali in a few weeks for Christmas! Everyone is so excited to see Ethan!

Speaking of Ethan... a couple of weeks ago he learned to go bluh bluh bluh with his hands on his lips (It is adorable) and I tried to get it on video..and I got a little bit..but not the full effect..sorry.
And I also took some very cute pictures of him! Enjoy!

Ethan and I on my birthday!

We still aren't positive what color eyes he will have..they change from green to blue to brown depending on what he is wearing!

Thanksgiving fun

Okay I have been putting off this update for days now..simply because I have a million pictures to go along with it and it's going to take some time to get them all uploaded and ready.

So here we go.

Last week we were able to drive down to Utah to spend the Thanksgiving holiday with both Jason's family and my own. We were supposed to go to Burley for Thanksgiving but Jason's mom had to have surgery so we changed our plans. Although Jason missed his mother's Thanksgiving dinner, it was a very fun week and we did a lot of neat things.

The next day...Wednesday we went to the zoo with two of Jason's sisters and their nine kids. It was a bit chilly but a lot of fun. My favorite was the small animal and reptile building. What can i say..i love looking at bugs and snakes and gross little things...as long as they are in cages and unable to get me.

Ethan wasn't really interested in the animals unless they moved around a lot and kept his attention. I guess he's used to living with a wile ferocious beast as it is (aka Dunder)

It was cold so we kept Ethan bundled up snug as a bug

If you will look closer you will see that according to this..Ethan weighs more than a baby Rhino.

Family pic! Love these!

On Thursday we picked up Jamie and went to Orem to my Aunt and Uncles house for Thanksgiving dinner. It was a lovely day spent with family and it was fun for Ethan to play with some new toys and his second cousins.

Sisters! <3>
Ethan loves his Auntie Jamie!

--------------Right here the blog site was dumb and when I was trying to post my entry it deleted everything from here to the end. Lovely. And that is why this entry should have been posted on Thursday but wasn't up till today.-----------------------------

On Friday we went to BodyWorld with Jamie, Steph and Scott and Katie (Jason's sister). It was quite the expereince. It's a large museum about the body that actually has bodies and body parts on display. It sounds gross, but it wasn't. It was really cool. My favorite part was they had an actual nine week old fetus..and it looks like an actual 2 inch big baby! It has fingers and toes and everything. Since I am everything pregnancy-related-obsessed I loved that part! The body is such an amazing thing!
That night we went to dinner to a pizza place that had real Italian pizza! Jason loved it so much! He said it's the closest thing he has come to real italian pizza since he has been back from his mission. Ethan loved it too....

We would give him the crusts and he kept leaning back in his high chair
Sad face after he dropped it

Have no fear! We had another for him!
Love my hubby!

And of course the night wasn't complete without gelato! Yummy yum yum!

And now to close with some cutie patootie pics of Ethan in his suit!
